2019 Fairways, our canoe, the Matterhorn and Ebb Tide

We visited my friends Scamp and Franny again this year, which was fun as always. There are many different walks nearby as well as the huge garden to explore. Scamp and I keep an eye out for rabbits from the conservatory and then charge through the dog flap and race down the garden - Scamp always wins of course.

This was my first experience of travelling in a canoe and, although it was a bit weird at first, I loved it. Always so much so look at and most importantly, I have comfy mat to lay on. We normally stop and get out to stretch our legs on the way. We live near the river, so only a short trip to where we stored it and we were away.

We took the Channel Tunnel (apparently - I didn't see anything) to cross into France and onward to Switzerland and our campsite.

A train ride through the mountain took me to a snowy summit - Jungfrau at 3571 metres, where we had a lot of fun in the snow! That is the highest I have ever been.

That is me in the distance!

This tunnel was a bit chilly on my feet!

I even met one of the locals!

I didn't like the mesh floor so Phil carried me across this bridge. He also carries me over some high walls and stiles. I keep very still and he tells me I am being very good.

We saw one of these funny looking campers on the back of a pickup truck for the first time - but more of them in a later post!

I can see for miles and miles

The mighty Matterhorn!

The Aletsch Glacier

Phil and Dee sold the canoe and bought a boat called Ebb Tide. We spent many days having fun and also staying out overnight.
