2020 camping in Cumbria and the Isle of Arran

We left home and headed north to The Lakes, this time staying at Nether Wasdale near Wast Water. We didn't hike up Scafell Pike, partly because the route was too stony for my feet and also because it was quite busy. So we picked a different route away from the crowds, which I loved as you can see below.

The grass was so soft up here I just had to jump about!

This is me at full pelt in the sand

We then travelled further north via a ferry to the Isle of Arran where Phil and Dee were married and camped at Lochranza amongst loads of Red Deer.

There must be a rabbit out there somewhere

Nearly there I think!

I had to be carried over some large rocks before we reached the summit.

The summit of Goat Fell at 874 metres

Time for a well earned rest

And another!

And again, tucked up in the tent
